Lembeke is best known for the Lembeek forests, which cover 50 hectares and mainly consist of planted coniferous wood. The heather relics found in the herb layer point to the former wastine: a mixture of grassland, heather, shrub and forest. Nowadays, deciduous trees are being planted again. The forests form a rest, sports or playground and are owned by the Flemish Water Supply Company.
