The river Zenne springs from the hamlet of Naast at an elevation of 123 meters south of Zinnik (Soignies). After 103 kilometers, it flows at an elevation of 5 meters in Heffen at the so-called Zennegat (just north of Mechelen) into the Dijle, together with the Leuven-Dijle Canal.
