Oignies-en-Thiérache is a commune in the French border in the province of Namur. Since the merger of the municipality in 1977, it has been part of the municipality of Viroinval, Belgium. It has about 800 inhabitants. The village is located in the large forest of the 12,000 ha Viroin-Hermeton Nature Park with many hiking trails. There is a well-developed mountain board park Wanyi.De tourist infrastructure is limited to a holiday park of about eighty chalets, a few individual holiday homes and a small campsite.
