Petit-Thier is a village in the Belgian province of Luxembourg and a district of Vielsalm. The village center of Petit-Thier is located more than four kilometers northeast of the center of Vielsalm. The village used to belong to the municipality of Vielsalm. On March 12, 1847, Petit-Thier merged with Blanchefontaine, Poteau, and six other hamlets of Vielsalm to become an independent municipality.
