Attic

Zolder is a place in the Belgian province of Limburg and a district of Heusden-Zolder. Zolder has an area of 32.89 km² and had a population of 15,232 in 2006. Zolder is especially known for Circuit Zolder and the former coal mine.
Zolder is located in the Kempen, 10 kilometers northwest of Hasselt. The N72, the road from Hasselt to Beringen, passes west of the center. The E314/A2 motorway crosses Zolder from west to east. To the northeast of the center, the railway line from Hasselt to Mol passes and there is a station. In the west of the district lies the Albertkanaal. The Mangelbeek, which flows into the Demer, passes to the north of the village center and partially forms the border with Heusden.
