Mark is a village in the Belgian province of Hainaut and a district of the municipality of Edingen. It has approximately 1,380 inhabitants. The village owes its name 'Mark' to the small river Mark that springs there. The hamlet Abele is a subdivision of Mark.
The Walloon village near the border with Flanders was originally a Dutch-speaking municipality, with a French-speaking minority, forming part of the county of Hainaut. Currently, Mark is largely French-speaking, with a Dutch-speaking minority. In recent developments, more Dutch speakers are moving back in.
