Waasmont is a village in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant and a subdivision of Landen. Waasmont was an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization of 1965. The oldest mention dates back to 946 and refers to UUasmont. At the end of the 12th century, there is mention of Uaso monte. The name etymologically consists of a Germanic and a Romance element: wasu and the accusative montem.
