Castle and Gardens of Annevoie
The grounds of Annevoie were shaped over three centuries by the de Montpellier family. The artistic gardens, in particular, create a remarkable whole through the use of the natural features of the site.
The long vistas are filled with canals and water features, interspersed with green galleries adorned with high jets of water or sculptures, some of which are made of cast iron, contributions from successive generations.
Pathways connect covered hornbeam avenues, small groves with semi-lush foliage, or green forests.
The gardens were purchased in 2000 by the Walloon Region and are currently being restored.
