Walk along the route and listen to the wonderful stories from the 15th century and anecdotes about Van Eyck. Are they fake or real? The walk takes you past many other Heritage Day activities, such as shows, a Van Eyck exhibition, and ends at the Franciscan monastery with a 'jukebox' live performance of 15th-century songs...
Family friendliness: The walk is very varied, with playful animation, tailor-made for families.

'The Just Judges' after 75 years missing, finally found in Maaseik! Come with your family and experience an exciting search for the lost panel. Can you solve the riddle? Hints and tasks will take you to various locations in the idyllic, historical center of Maaseik. After each task you successfully complete, you will receive a puzzle piece. exhibition: Van Eyck, my day: Van Eyck exhibition
Maaseik showcases the magnificent Van Eyck exhibition on Heritage Day. The existing setup with large reproductions is confronted with various fake versions. Tangible heritage can soon take on a life of its own when it falls into the hands of a free-thinking artist. Additionally, young filmmakers will present an animated film based on the work of Van Eyck.

concert: Van Eyck, my day: Jukebox Live
The ensemble from the music school will, upon request, give their own interpretation of 15th-century songs via the Jukebox. This way, the musical heritage of Maaseik is being revived. This time let your ears enjoy rather than your eyes. It is music that Van Eyck must have heard as well...
