The Flemish quay has a series of beautiful eclectic houses. They were erected by architect Jacob Gustave Semey at the end of the 19th century, in the Belle Epoque. Characteristic are the house names, the busts or reliefs of historical Flemish figures and the moralizing inscriptions.
