The castle was built from 1904-1907 in eclectic style, with a tendency towards neo-baroque. The commissioner was Baroness Sneyers-d'Attenhoven.
The park belonging to this castle is a 2 ha large division of the Cleepachthof, an older domain on which a castle also stood.
