Since the changes that happened in 2010, this square is an ideal place to enjoy a terrace. A wide range of catering establishments can be found in the vicinity. The square is located directly on the shopping streets of Aalst and only a 2-minute walk from the Grote Markt.
The square also has a unique location for the Monument of the Fallen Warriors, popularly called 'the eternal flame'.
