Description

The Paddestraat is a household name for cycling enthusiasts and archaeologists. It is a cobblestone road in Velzeke and is part of the Roman road Boulogne-sur-Mer - Velzeke - Cologne. The road starts at the Roman Square in Velzeke and continues to Roborst (Zwalm) where the name changes to Borstekouterstraat.
In 1973, the Tour of Flanders visited this cobblestone road for the first time.
