At number 14 in Begijnhofstraat, we pass through the gate that provides access to the Sint-Joachim and Sint-Anna almshouse, which was moved here from another location in the city in 1613. Together with the Sint-Barbara and Sint-Beatrix almshouses, with which it was connected in 1863, it forms a remarkable complex of small, modest homes around a large inner garden.
