It is remarkable that there is now a music school here on the grounds of this abbey, Centre Spirituel Notre-Dame de Fichermont. This place has certainly not been a textbook example of respecting the rights around music, because the famous Soeur Sourire (Jeanne Deckers) who lived here did not get a penny of rights to her hit "Dominique". Deckers had to pay taxes for her music, the income from which had gone to the convent all this time, and of which she had not seen a penny herself.
