The Château de Rixensart is a Renaissance castle in Rixensart in Walloon Brabant, known for its architecture and historic gardens
The castle was built by the Count of Fresin, in Renaissance style. In the 18th century, the Merode family acquired the castle, which has occupied it ever since. The mother of Prince Félix de Mérode lived in the castle in the 19th century. The last owner, Prince Henri de Mérode, bequeathed it to his children.
