The Mont-le-Soie starts just like the Côte de Wanne from Grand-Halleux, but climbs slightly further south toward a large riding school on a plateau. The climb is characterized mainly by the lack of real curves and a sleepy feeling, but should definitely not be underestimated. For more than 4 kilometers, the percentages do not drop below 5%, making it an ideal climb to really push yourself (or your cycling friends) to the limit.
Take the road from Grand-Halleux towards Vielsalm and take the left turn towards Mont-le-Soie in the village at the gentle bend. For the next kilometer, you climb at an average of 7% through a beautiful open hilly landscape. Towards the forest, it becomes a bit tougher. After that, it gets easier, but continues to climb in a relatively monotonous straight line upwards. Here you can completely empty yourself on the bike.
It seems to take forever to reach the top. A large open field on the right side indicates that you are almost there. The top is at the riding school.
