Peter Benoit was born in 1834 into a simple Harelbeek family. At his death in 1901, he was a celebrated composer with international appeal.
In the Peter Benoit Museum, five women from his surroundings tell the story of Benoit's life and work. Sound showers immerse you in his music and a film teaches you more about the international significance of the composer. Finally, in his birthplace, you can see how a poor Flemish family lived and lived two centuries ago.
