Description

Ichtegem also has its Flandriens: Richard Depoorter and Jules Vanhevel (winner of the 1920 Tour of Flanders). The statue 'Ode aan de Vlaamsche leeuwen' (Ode to the Flemish Lions) recalls the rich cycling past. Ichtegem is also where the Omloop der Vlaamse Ardennen (Tour of the Flemish Ardennes) finishes.
