The well-preserved and famous ommegang is an interesting witness to centuries of popular devotion.
The so-called Kleem Chapel is a fine example of rural religious architecture in neo-Gothic style from 1874 and expanded in the same style in 1894. The well-kept, sober, neo-Gothic decoration with a beautifully painted wooden altar, a Stations of the Cross in polychrome reliefs, and plaster statues of saints was completed in 1934 with nine beautiful stained glass windows and a colorful paneling of faience tiles.
The pillar chapels of the pilgrimage of the "Fifteen Mysteries of the Holy Rosary", belonging to the Kleem Chapel, are implanted in a cultural landscape typical of the Meetjesland; they were rebuilt in 1932 by architectural firm Bressers to replace the chapels of 1874.
