In the past, people went to church via a beautiful linden avenue. But poor maintenance and damage by storm winds have badly damaged the avenue; It was renewed and replanted in 2009. The foundation stone of the church was laid in 1750. The bell tower, in neo-Romanesque style, dates from 1899. The well-known organ brewer M. van Peteghem built the organ in 1864.
