This beautiful house on Vergotesquare in Schaarbeek was designed by Albert Nyst. Simple planes and volumes stand against each other. Nyst, originally from Liège, has designed many buildings in Brussels. He began his career as an engineer and was initially mainly involved in industrial projects. In the early part of his career as an architect, he built in the classical monumental style that still had many followers at the time. But after World War I, his work underwent a radical change, of which this house is a very nice example. The building was protected in 1993.
