Across from the entrance gate of 't Torreke, since March 14, 2003, you will find a new artwork on the Kleine Plaats in Dadizele. It is the "Cheese Lady," based on an idea and design by Dadizelenaar Willy Vandenbussche. It was sculpted by the Beernem artist, Mr. Karel Van Roy. The statue is a ' tribute' to Mariënstede, a home for adults with mental and physical disabilities who, until the year 2000, had the 'Smallest Cheese Factory' in the country.
