Fleriskothoeve is a beautiful farmstead with a Frisian barn. This barn used to have a thatched roof, but it burned down in 1951. Due to the high fire insurance the roof was repaired with roofing tiles.
There is also anice legendgoing around about Fleriskothoeve:
Fleris, a servant at the farmstead, liked nothing more than to bully the other servants and maids. The farmer and his wife eventually went to the village priest for advice. The priest told them to give Fleris porridge with garlic. That very evening he got porridge with garlic, but Fleris tasted it and cried out: "Aha, porridge with garlic; Fleris moves out and so does luck.” No one has lasted long at the farmstead ever since.
A Fleris statue can be seen at the entrance to the cemetery of Wilskerke church and was inaugurated on 25 September 1983
