Memorial for the war victims from Nieuwpoort
The "memorial for the war victims from Nieuwpoort from both wars" is a work of art of Pieter Braecke. It is on the corner of the W. De Roolaan and the O.L. Vrouwestraat, near the O.L. Vrouwekerk.
Karel Loppens wrote the following about it : “it is a woman, wrapped in a coat, who seems to mourn the killed people of Nieuwpoort, whose names are written on the small crosses planted on the ground round the sad woman".
