Country estate "Het Peereboomhuis", so named after resident Alice van de Peereboom (1846-1932). Built in 1726 by Gregorius Berghman (1684-1747), surveyor and appraiser, bailiff of Moorslede. Separated from the street by a blank wall, rhythmed by rectangular casements and two basket-arched gate bays set between pilasters on a base of Atrecht sandstone; cover by means of slates. Left, double gate; Right, except for the entrance door after blind. Garden partly reduced by industrial expansion in the 1970s; old orchard and some large park trees. Double house of six bays and one or two storeys under a lame gable roof (ridge perpendicular to Menin Street, dark glazed and red mechanical tiles). Pink-painted, anchored brick construction on a pecked plinth. South-facing façade of two two storeys: arched wall openings, with roller shutter boxes on the ground floor; on the second storey wall anchors with the date 1726 and painted sundial; in the third bay door in belted frame with pilasters and drip moulding of sintered bricks; panel door under fanlight decorated with wrought ironwork. Rear façade of one storey with perpendicular extension under gable roof of a kitchen: arched and rectangular wall openings, the latter with frame construction including shuttered ball and cloister frames. Right-hand side façade crowned with wind vane.
