Do you want to know how an antiklerikal builds a church? The Sint-Ritakerk is an example of modernism where form takes precedence over everything. It is the only church by Léon Stijnen, a top architect in Flanders for modernism. From the outside, the church has the shape of a truncated pyramid without windows. The floor plan is an irregular hexagon. While the church appears rather massive from the outside, one becomes disoriented upon entering because there is no point of reference to be found anywhere.
