The St. Rita Church in Harelbeke was consecrated in 1966. The architects were Léon Stynen and Paul De Meyer. The church is a highlight of modern and brutalist architecture in the 1960s, using simple geometric shapes. The walls were finished in folded concrete. In 2015, the building was protected as a monument due to its artistic and architectural value.
