The Gallo-Roman period 2
Next to the showcase you can see a partial rebuilding of a hypocaust, a Gallo-Roman central heating system. It has been realized with original elements found in the villa of Evelette. A wooden scale model explains you how it worked.
A sundial made of limestone has also been found in the same villa.
An electrical assembly allows you to understand the way it worked. The solar orbits can be selected with 3 buttons corresponding to the summer solstice (21June), to the 2 equinoxes (21 March and 21 September) and to the winter solstice (21 December).
