A seigniorial land in the county of Namur under the Ancien Régime, its remarkable church of Saint-Maurice, on the edge of the Nationale 90, was once a collegiate church, the seat of a chapter founded in 1106 by Emperor Henri IV, which existed until 1797.
This Romanesque building (in Ionic style on the façade) has many beautiful black marble tombstones from the 14th century and, in the choir, beautiful sculpted stalls, in the Renaissance tradition. Opposite, the beautiful presbytery made of limestone rubble stone is a medieval construction.
Along the main road, you will see "La Villette", a type of workers' housing estate from the end of the nineteenth century.
Among the outstanding sights is the "SCLADINA" cave. Internationally renowned, this permanent excavation site has seen the discovery of some of the most important Neanderthal bones in recent years.
