Tuna - Samson
Thon-Samson bears the label "one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia". We will go from wonder to wonder as we go up the Meuse the charming valley that gave its name to this endearing village whose stone houses – an admirable ensemble still preserved – many of them old "cortils" or mills of the eighteenth century, are spread out tortuously along the river, the Samson.
On the front of the Meuse overlooks a series of beautiful limestone rocks, crowned with greenery, illuminated on summer evenings and at the top, dominate the remains of an old medieval fortress.
The church of Thon and opposite, the castle-farm of Thon are located at the top of the hillside where the village clings.
