Primary school GO! Kuurne is an experiential school of the Education of the Flemish Community. The general pedagogical guideline is contained in the Pedagogical Project of Education of the Flemish Community (PPGO)

The PPGO stands for a dynamic view of people and society and it aims at the formation of free people, who:

- have a fundamental self-confidence, based on authenticity and integrity
- have an open mind, without prejudice, with interest and respect for everyone's opinion
- be empowered, so that they can express their ideas clearly and correctly
- be prepared for lifelong and life-wide learning
- witnesses of intellectual, emotional, aesthetic and ethical commitment
- be involved in social reality and social inequalities:
- stand up for respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, for social justice and for democratic institutions
- not only uphold the equality of human beings and the emancipation of each individual as a principle, but also make efforts to achieve them.

Primary school GO! Kuurne distinguishes itself from other schools by

- The distinctly child-friendly living spaces that are a reflection of the homely security.
- The importance we attach to social education, communication skills, independent work and self-discipline, assertiveness and critical attitude, learning to learn, learning to make choices ourselves, but also learning to take responsibility for it, etc.
- The individual guidance of each child who is always central to the learning process.
- The democratic character that allows children, supervisors and parents to have their own input, each based on their responsibility and expertise.
- The openness of our school to everyone who feels positively involved.
- Because our children learn to work and think independently, they will be better armed and better prepared for their further studies.

Primary school GO! Kuurne accentuates some principles

- We must achieve at least the same attainment targets and development goals as prescribed by the Minister of Education for all primary schools in each educational network.
- We offer our children the choice between different religions and non-denominational morality.
- Working with projects, experiential work, is one of the most important principles of the operation of our school.
- Of course, our children also deliver performance, but they are not burdened by 'performance pressure' so that creativity is more and better addressed!
