Holy Cross Chapel located at a crossroads near the border with Bekkerzeel (Asse) and near the former farm "Het Waarboomhof". The chapel is dated by a bluestone plaque in the façade: "PA / Herckens / pastor / 1859". According to Verbesselt, there was a chapel at the junction of the road to Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle and Groot-Bijgaarden until the 18th century. On the Ferraris map (circa 1770-1778) this location is indicated as "Wijrboom Capelle". The chapel belonged to the abbey of Groot-Bijgaarden. This is where the procession of Groot-Bijgaarden came.White-painted brick chapel with cemented and black-painted plinth on a rectangular plan with three-sided closure, under tiled gable roof crowned with cross (ridge perpendicular to the street). The gable ends are horizontally rhythmed by two cornices, the upper one of which is profiled. Round-arched door with projecting imposts and wooden door with iron lattice and glass. White plastered interior with red tiled floor and wooden altar with inscription "Hail O Holy Cross", above it a crucifix.
