André Brasseur was born in Ham-sur-Sambre in 1939. In 1965, he wrote the worldwide hit "Early bird," which sold over ten million copies. From the 1970s onwards, his melodies were widely used throughout Western Europe as tunes for radio shows and advertisements. In 2016, at the age of 77, Brasseur made a notable comeback and went on tour with, among others, Vive La Fête. He also performed at Pukkelpop that year and became the oldest musician to perform there.
