Beauvoorde was an independent Belgian municipality between January 1, 1970, and December 31, 1976. Beauvoorde had an area of 14.64 km² and had 760 inhabitants at the time of its dissolution at the end of 1976. The municipality of Beauvoorde was a merger of the villages of Vinkem and Wulveringem, which are located close to each other. Both villages, which have formed one parish since 1968, make up one continuous village center, with two churches, of which the one in Wulveringem is used as the parish church and the one in Vinkem is used as an exhibition space.
