Herstal

Herstal is a name in the motorcycle world. More classic than the motorcycles ever produced in Herstal, it cannot get. Gillet, Saroléa, and FN may have long disappeared from the market, yet they ring a bell for almost every Belgian motorcyclist. Not least because Saroléa has been attracting a lot of attention in the motorcycle world again since 2013 after a few decades of absence. Carbon wizard Torsten Robbens developed an electric racing motorcycle under the legendary brand name and made a big impression on the Isle of Man. Impressive, although we are still a bit more impressed by the 'old' Saroléa that already came out in 1898 with a tricycle with a petroleum engine and soon after became one of the very first ever to bring a motorcycle to the market.
