Hompré is a village in the Belgian province of Luxembourg and a district of Vaux-sur-Sûre. In the municipality, there are also the villages and hamlets of Assenois, Remichampagne, Remoiville, Grandru, Clochimont, Salvacourt, and Chaumont. Until January 1, 1977, Hompré was an independent municipality. The Roman road between Huy and Arlon passed through Hompré, and remnants of it have been preserved. There are also remains of Roman villas and tumuli. In 1931, eight tombs containing remains of cremated bodies and furnishings as grave goods were found in Hompré.
