Avekapelle is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders and a part of the city of Veurne. The village has an area of 4.58 km² and has 323 inhabitants. Avekapelle was first mentioned in 1199, as Auencapella derived from the Old Dutch Avan Kapella, chapel of Ava.
