Grand-Rechain is a locality and municipality of the Belgian municipality of Herve. Grand-Rechain is located in the province of Liège. In the 13th century, the lordship of Grand-Rechain was subordinate to the Saint Peter's Chapter in Liège. The lordship also included the territory of Lambermont and Wegnez until 1797. In 1648, the lordship was purchased by Jean Christian I de Woestenraedt. The De Woestenraedt family remained the owners of the lordship until the end of the ancien régime. Over the course of the 19th century, the family became extinct.
