The folk song Tineke van Heule owes its name to the village of Heule. Every year in the second weekend of September, Tinekesfeesten are celebrated. A Tinekes election is also held in the Heule-Watermolen district: Tineke van de Watermolen. In the past, the winner of Tineke van de Watermolen was allowed to compete directly with Tineke van Heule, but this is no longer the case today (for practical reasons).
