Kwaremont is a village in the Belgian province of East Flanders and a district of Kluisbergen. The place is located in the Flemish Ardennes and is particularly known among cycling enthusiasts in Flanders for the climbs, the Kwaremont and the Oude Kwaremont, in the village. Among other things, objects from the Michelsberg culture were found on the Paterberg. As early as 1816, a Gallo-Roman hoard of coins was discovered. Remains of Roman villas are also known from the Kwaremont area. A Roman road ran from Kerkhove through present-day Kwaremont to Blicquy and Bavay.
