This former hotel 'Continental' is now used as accommodation and mess for officers. The building was protected as a monument in 2001. The former name of the hotel can still be read from the large concrete letters on the facade.
Hotel Continental was designed in 1920 as a symmetrical building in eclectic style. However, the symmetry was soon disrupted by an extension. The two bays farthest to the right are an addition made fifteen years after the initial construction, a testament to the popularity of coastal tourism in the early twentieth century.
