Sint-Laurentius is a brick neo-Gothic church built in 1922 to a design by Henri Carbon and Henri Pil from Ostend. These architects were also responsible for the design of the furniture.
In order to optimise accessibility, it was decided, contrary to the convention, to orient the entrance towards the Westendelaan and not, as usual, with the choir facing east.
The interior is unplastered, which gives it a sober and sleek look.
In the choir there is a stained glass window depicting the Seven Sacraments. It was made by the house of Desmet from Bruges.
