church from the hamlet of Doorslaar to Area Floribus, now a flower lifestyle shop but formerly the municipal boys' school where draughtsman Willy Linthout wore his shorts and which was the model for the school of Tollembeek where Urbanus often puts the class of master Quince on stilts. Doorslaar was traditionally an agricultural hamlet where the farmers were fairly wealthy and owned large lands. Because they could afford white bread with raisins on Sundays, they were nicknamed "beze boats."
