Former Cistercian Abbey. Rectangular abbey complex from the 17th to the 20th century, surrounded by former military buildings from the 19th to the 20th century, located within an extensive walled area bounded by Benedenvliet (to the south) and Schelde (to the west). Today, a wide concrete road extends from Depotstraat to the current entrance, namely the east wing. Against the northwestern side of the enclosure, at Nijverheidsstraat, there is an 18th-century access gate; currently one of the entrances to the metal processing company located to the north and west of the abbey.
