Description

According to legend, Saint Gertrude, Abbess of Nivelles, was on her way to Lennik when her carriage got stuck in the mud. She was therefore obliged to continue her way on foot. The name Pede would then come from the Latin translation of "on foot". In the vicinity of Pede vin dje there are many unpaved roads where you can certainly re-enact this story yourself on a rainy day.
