Sint-Lambertuslaan- Hasseltsepoort
Take the fourth exit at the roundabout. Just after the exit of the roundabout, you will cross another street: a priority sign indicates that you have the right of way. Also give way to pedestrians crossing the street at the crosswalk.

- Roundabout
Info: roundabout
A roundabout is a circular square that you must follow in the direction of traffic.
At the roundabout, you will see an inverted triangle and yield markings on the road. The inverted triangle is a yield sign and means that road users coming from that street must stop when necessary and yield to road users on the roundabout.
The rule is that drivers on the roundabout have the right of way over drivers who want to enter the roundabout. When entering the roundabout, drivers do not need to use turn signals. However, when leaving the roundabout, turn signals must be used.
Here’s how to enter the roundabout as a cyclist:
- When entering a roundabout, you must yield to road users on the roundabout. You will see the yield markings, which clearly indicate that you must stop and give way.
- If there is a bike lane, use it. If there isn’t and you must cycle on the road, do not ride far right on the roundabout but make yourself clearly visible.
- Motorists who want to turn must give way to continuing cyclists on the roundabout. Since this doesn’t always happen, as a cyclist, it’s best to slow down and yield your right of way if necessary rather than getting hit!
- Indicate with your right arm when you want to leave the roundabout.
There is no bike lane on this roundabout, so as a cyclist, use the roadway.
Be especially cautious when near trucks. Next to, in front of, and behind the truck are several danger zones where the driver cannot see you, the so-called blind spots. Keep a safe distance behind or in front of the truck. To the right of the truck, the blind spot is the largest. So definitely be careful of trucks turning right! If you cannot see the driver, then he cannot see you!
It is prohibited to cycle on the sidewalk. However, if you find cycling on the bike lane too dangerous, you can dismount and take the roundabout on foot with your bike via the sidewalk and crosswalk.
