The playground of St. Jansloopersbemden borders the IJshal and is located close to the sports infrastructure (sports hall, football field, tennis court) and several other facilities in Maaseik (youth centers, Youth Service Center Fuego, and Mosque El Hidaya). The playground consists of a meadow with a small tower with a slide, a sandbox, a petanque court, a hexagonal swing, a youth auditorium, a football field, and a basketball court made of concrete paving stones. The playground is mainly used by teens aged 15 and older, partly because there are very few young children in the neighborhood. The St. Jansloopersbemden neighborhood is about 2 km from the center of Maaseik. Benches and trash cans are sufficiently available.
