This recently restored picturesque chapel dates back to the 17th century. It presumably replaced an older tree chapel at a linden tree, which explains the name 'berre linde' or solitary linden. The chapel was significantly enlarged in 1774 and provided with a bell tower. The chapel is dedicated to Our Lady. It is unclear why the chapel was built exactly at this location.
