The Carwijselie is not an animal but a plant! It can be recognized by its pale red or white umbels that grow up to 7 cm wide and are composed of 15 to 25 different "rays" (individual flowers). The leaves of the Carwijse lily are pointed, with a white top that merges into a short "needle".
This plant smells a bit like Parsley.
Mapbirds grow best in sunny to slightly shaded areas. You can find them in grassland, along the banks of ditches and streams, and in open deciduous forest.
